In addition to being an artist, I can also create in the kitchen. Make sure to follow my food blog CHOW WITH XHICO to see food through the eyes of an artist and to learn more about my pop-up food and art events in Los Angeles.
After returning from Mexico City, I felt very revitalized. I came back to a last minute invitation to the MUAHS Awards (Make-up Artist / Hairstylists Awards). I took my friend Ady-Dotty, she was in full-effect latina to compliment my new pancho and laser green glitter make-up mask.
Here's how my outfit came together:
The awards sponsored by MAC Cosmetics were held at Paramount Studios with many celebrities in attendance. Johnny Depp and Benicio del Toro were there, but I only got to see them from the stage. I got many compliments from celebrities like Nicolette Sheridan and Kat Graham on my make-up art. It was fun being the showstopper. We also blasted off our own mini photo shoot in the Capture POD!
I have just returned from an adventure from the American North West. It's such beautiful country - Northern California, Oregon and Washington. I was greatly inspired by the scenery and documented many photos and video for upcoming projects. Check back soon for new photos.
Thank you to everyone who came out to the live body painting event at The Faculty. I returned with my models and did body painting with a tropical floral theme. Check out the photos below and the video by Joel Silva Photography.
After the success of last years event, Xhico is back at body painting live at The Faculty. Come out, have a beer, some wine and food, listen to some beats and see nearly nude women being body painted live. Xhico will also have work on display and for sale until June 9.

I inspire Vivienne Westwood. Well, at least I'd like to think so. Today on Tumblr I saw these images from backstage at the Vivienne Westwood Gold Label AW13 fashion show. The make-up is by MAC Cosmetics.
It miraculously resembles the combination of two looks from my self-portrait series. One where I explore expressionistic foundation and another where I smudge mascara out of the lines and all over the face.
You can see the similarities from my self-portrait series and the make-up from the Vivienne Westwood show below.
Xhico is back in fashion. From my SS13 collection is my new Xhico Classic Snapback Cap. The hat is available in black with white embroidered Xhico logo. It's adjustable in back and fits most everybody.
Chris was over the other night and I did him up with some scraps and did some portraits. Model is Chris Jones from Bones Muhroni.
Septerhed came by Xhico's Funhouse again today. This time we did a collab on a fence. He did a goat and I did a unicorn. I still have to post pictures of yesterday's murals we did in the courtyard... coming soon!
I had something pop into my head the other day. This image of me with eyes on my face. Then I started to to wonder what they would look like if they cam alive. I sketched the image in my head and put it on my idea board. The other day I decided to make it come alive and do a projection mapping test. So I designed my video imagery and got my projector out and make some video art. This is my study.
